‘language’ is a sign with signifier and signified

A sign is composed of a signifier – the signs physical form – sound, image, word. And a signified – the idea or concept of the thing the signifier is pointing to as an expression of.

The word ‘language’ is a sign with signifier and signified. When language is devalued all discourse, or interaction is language. But all interaction can’t be language because how would we know what languages is? Thus language is brought back to its own finitude.
